Liverpool have already spent over €300 million during this summer's transfer window - the most of any club in the world do far. However, the biggest deal could still be yet to come. Reports suggest that Newcastle striker Alexander Isak has told the club that he wants to explore a move away from the clubs this summer, and Liverpool reportedly, despite already signing striker Hugo Ekitiké for €95m, remain interested in a move for the Swede. The striker has not travelled with the squad on their pre-season tour of the Far East after reporting a thigh injury earlier in the week, and still has three years remaining on his contract at St James' Park. Isak has a current market value of €120m.

It would most likely take a Premier League record fee for Newcastle to allow the prolific forward to leave the club. Liverpool have already broke the division's record signing after bringing in attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for €125m, but with a number of Anfield stars perhaps set to depart for sizeable fees of their own, perhaps Liverpool could pull of an audacious coup to bring Isak to Merseyside too. The Reds have already rejected a bid believed to be in the region of €67m for winger Luis Díaz from Bayern Munich, but the German giants are reportedly willing to bid again for up to €75m for the Colombian. Liverpool are also looking to offload striker Darwin Núñez, winger Harvey Elliott and perhaps youngster Ben Doak that could bring in more finances to the club.

As illustrated in the graphic above, if Liverpool were to pull of signing Isak too, they could boast an incredible starting XI, with an abundance of talent still available from the bench. Arne Slot could have the forward options of Mohamed Salah, Isak, Ekitiké, and Cody Gakpo. As well as Wirtz who could feasibly also play off the left-wing. After winning their 20th Premier League title last term, this summer transfer Liverpool have sent out a statement to the rest of the division, and if they could pull of Isak, it would be the most exciting signing of them all, and could make the Reds an incredible force next season.
